March 12 Culinary Tour and Luncheon at Bottega in Birmingham, Alabama
A limited number of seats are available for a restaurant tour and three-course lunch at Bottega in
Birmingham, Alabama, on March 12 with our Culinary Arts Institute students. Chef Frank Stitt
will give a tour of the restaurant and kitchen followed by a three-course meal. A limited number
of seats for this event have been made available for alumni and friends of MUW who may be
interested in joining the students for this exciting and unique restaurant tour and meal with Chef
Stitt. If you would like to reserve a place for the tour and luncheon, please get in touch with the
Alumni Office before March 11 by e-mail (alumni@muw.edu) or telephone (662-241-7483). The
cost is $50.00 per person for the three-course meal and tour, and it is payable in advance. Seats
are available on a first come, first served basis.

MUW Alumni Association 2010-2011 Elections
2010-2011 elections to the Board of Directors have been completed. The following slate of officers
has been approved by voting members of the Association.
Those elected to the Board for a three-year term are:

MUW Pohl/Stark Recreation Center Alumni Association Membership Discount
The MUW Pohl/Stark Recreation Center is offering a 20% discount on new or renewed membership fees for
alumni who are members of the MUW Alumni Association. We are delighted to work with the Recreation
Center staff to provide this benefit for Association members in the area and appreciate the staff’s support of the
Association. For more information on the Pohl/Stark Recreation Center and opportunities available for individual and

membership discount, the Alumni Office must verify your membership in the Association as part of your Pohl/Stark

MUW Alumni Association Past President Renee Nick Flynt '81 Honored
During the June 26, 2009, meeting of the MUW Alumni Association Board of Directors, Renee Flynt was recognized for her past service as president.
